VATOS Y VICLAS: EVOLUTION OF THEE VICLA
JOIN US ON THE LOWER LEVEL!
A veteran vendor of the EXPO, Vatos Y Viclas Publication has become part of the show. Assigned the entire lower level of the National Western Complex to bring to life the vibrant cultura of Colorado. VYV has coordinated a retrospect of the low and slow cruising culture to the newest genre of motorcycle culture known world wide as VICLAS.
Vatos Y Viclas started publishing in 2006 with a Calendar. Finding 12 VICLAS was a major task in its inaugural year. Now, Viclas have become a world wide phenomenon taking over every show from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico to the Eastern Seaboard. From Japan to Australia. From the boulevards of East LA to the halls of the National Western Complex.

Denver, Colorado is home of the Chicano movement’s catalyst, the Crusade for Justice. From 1969 to current, the community has continued to grow and make economic, social and cultural contributions to the fabric of the Centennial State. Nearly 30% of the cities population, the flavor of the community is seen in commerce and entertainment. From cultural events such as Dia de Los Muertos, Super Lowrider Car Shows, to concerts to one of the nations largest motorcycle runs celebrating the communities continued contributions to Americana.
For the second year, the Colorado Motorcycle Expo in conjunction with Vatos y Viclas presents EVOLUTION OF THE VICLA. With a birthplace in the Chicano cruising community, the exhibit will coordinate a mesh of the elements that make up the VICLA movement. Starting with a tribute to the Denver community and the strides to take back and establish Raza Park. There will be a community altar celebrating love ones passed such as our very own EXPO alumni Larry Ortiz of Ortiz Custom Cycles. The areas top Lowrider cars who spawned off the Lowrider bicycles and Viclas genre will be on Display. Cultura and Vicla related vendors will be part of the exhibit bringing to Denver coveted apparel, parts and accessories. Garnished with the savory sounds of Denver’s own musical acts Bezo and Chicano Heat, along with Southern California’s musical recording artist Miriah Avila will be filling the halls of the EXPO with their unique sounds of styles of music.
